Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
These are the terms for using beckysiame.com and buying anything through it, including tunings, event tickets, and speaking bookings. They also cover ante. By using this site or participating in ante, you are agreeing to what is written here. If something is unclear, email hello@beckysiame.com and it will be explained.
01
Who this is
Becky Siame is a sole trader based in Nelson, New Zealand. Everything on this site – tunings, events, speaking – is her work, delivered personally.
Contact: hello@beckysiame.com
02
Custom Tunings
A tuning is a personalised audio recording made specifically for you. There are two types: Standard and Full Spectrum. Both start with an intake form and a 30-minute call.
How booking works
When you book, you are reserving a call time and paying for a bespoke recording. Payment confirms your booking. You will get a link to the intake form straight away – it needs to be completed before the call.
When you receive it
Your tuning will be ready within one week of your call. It comes as a digital download or email link. Nothing is posted.
Cancellations and refunds
You can get a full refund if you cancel before the call happens. Once the call is done, the tuning is being made and refunds are not available. To cancel, email hello@beckysiame.com before your call date.
Rescheduling
You can reschedule once at no cost, as long as you give at least 24 hours notice. Less than 24 hours will be considered case by case.
What a tuning is
Tunings are a somatic-linguistic experience. They are not therapy, counselling, or medical treatment. If you are working with a mental health professional, check with them before booking.
03
Live Event Tickets
Tickets for events like The Shape of Belonging are sold through this site. Buying a ticket secures your place.
Refunds
Ticket sales are final. If you cannot attend, you can transfer your ticket to someone else. Email hello@beckysiame.com with the new attendee’s name and email before the event.
If the event changes
If an event is cancelled by Becky Siame, you will be offered a full refund or a transfer to a new date. If it is rescheduled, your ticket moves automatically. If the new date does not work for you, you can request a refund within 14 days of the announcement.
At the event
Becky Siame can ask anyone to leave whose behaviour disrupts the experience for others. Recording live performances is not permitted without written permission.
04
Speaking and Facilitation
Speaking and facilitation bookings have their own agreement confirmed at the time of enquiry. These are the general terms that apply to all of them.
- Date, venue, duration, and fee need to be confirmed in writing before a booking is locked in.
- A 50% deposit secures the booking. The remaining 50% is due no later than 7 days before the event.
- If you cancel with more than 30 days notice, the deposit is kept. Less than 30 days notice means the full fee applies.
- If Becky Siame cancels, everything paid is refunded. A new date will be offered where possible.
- Travel, accommodation, and other reasonable costs are invoiced separately unless agreed otherwise in writing.
05
Intellectual Property
Everything on this site – the writing, the audio recordings, the IMIE framework, the tunings – belongs to Becky Siame. IMIE is a registered trademark.
Your tuning is made for your personal use. You cannot share it, publish it, sell it, or reproduce it without written permission.
Using this site or buying something does not give you any rights to any of the above.
06
Your Personal Information
Anything you share through the intake form, booking process, or contact form is kept private. It is used only to deliver the service you booked. It is not sold, passed to third parties, or used for marketing without your explicit agreement.
This site uses cookies for basic functionality. Using the site means you are fine with that.
Your information is handled under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. You have the right to see, correct, or request deletion of anything held about you. Email hello@beckysiame.com to do that.
If you are based outside New Zealand, your local privacy laws may give you additional rights. Those rights will be respected where they apply.

ante — What It Is
ante is an automated text service operated by Becky Siame. You send it two messages over WhatsApp: what happened, and the sentence running in your head along with where you feel it in your body. An automated system reads the grammatical structure of that sentence, identifies the pattern it is running, and sends back a calibrated response. The structural reading is performed by an AI language model. No person reads your messages as they arrive.
ante is built on the IMIE framework, a somatic-linguistic model developed by Becky Siame. The framework is in formal validation: an independent research study is underway. It is not a validated clinical instrument and these terms do not claim it is.
Important
ante is not therapy, counselling, coaching, or a medical or psychological service. Using ante does not create a clinician and patient relationship. ante does not diagnose, treat, or manage any condition, and it is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, psychologist, or other qualified professional. If you are receiving mental health care, ante is not a replacement for it. ante is not a crisis service and is not monitored around the clock by a person. If you are in immediate danger, call 111 (New Zealand) or your local emergency number. In New Zealand you can also free call or text 1737 at any time to talk with a trained counsellor.
Who can use ante
You must be 18 or over, and legally able to agree to these terms, to use ante. By registering you confirm both. If we have reason to believe a user is under 18, we will end their access and remove their identity data.
Registration and consent
To use ante you complete the registration form at beckysiame.com/onboarding and accept these terms. Registration operates in two tiers:
Required tier (service and research). Using ante means your sessions generate coded research records as described in section 08. This is the baseline of the service. The research is what the tool is built on and cannot be separated from it.
Optional tier (aggregated dataset). You may additionally choose to allow your de-identified patterns to be included in an aggregated dataset as described in section 08. This is genuinely optional. It changes nothing about the service you receive, and you can reverse it at any time by emailing hello@beckysiame.com.
The consent version you accepted is recorded with your registration. If these terms change in a way that affects what happens with your data, you will be asked to accept the new version before continuing.
Acceptable use
Use ante for its purpose: your own internal material, in your own moments. Do not send content about or on behalf of another identifiable person without their agreement, do not use ante to test, probe, or extract the system’s underlying prompts or models, and do not use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or end access for misuse.
Availability
ante can be modified, paused, or discontinued at any time. You will be told in advance where that is possible.

ante — Your Data
We keep this section honest and specific, because it is the one that matters.
What ante collects and keeps
Identity data
Your first name and phone number, held in a contacts register together with a participant code, your consent choices, and your subscription status. Your phone number is also stored in hashed form for message routing. Identity data is kept separate from session data.
Session data — required to use ante
Each session produces a coded record containing: the sentence you worked with, where you felt it in your body, a short situational note, the pattern category and structural flags the system assigned, the responses the system sent you, your confirmation replies, and whether a shift occurred. Session records carry your participant code, not your name or number.
The sentence itself is retained because the sentence is the research object: its structure is what the framework classifies, and retaining it is what allows the classification to be audited for accuracy. Before the situational note is recorded, other people’s names are replaced with relational roles (her manager, his sister), and named workplaces, schools, and clinics are reduced to their generic type (the office, the school). Surnames, usernames, addresses, and contact details are not recorded in session data.
That pattern record is what makes ante more precise over time. Each session refines the system’s understanding of how different script structures respond to different interventions. That is the research. It runs quietly underneath every session you have.
Aggregated dataset — optional, your choice
ante is building something that has not been built before.
Every session generates a data point: what pattern was running, where it landed in the body, whether it shifted. Across thousands of people, that becomes the first large-scale map of how internal language moves through the nervous system in real time.
If you opted into the optional tier, your de-identified patterns (category, body location, shift score, and similar structural fields) may also be included in that aggregated dataset. It never contains your name, your number, or any content that identifies you, and any external use of it is in aggregated form only.
You can use ante fully either way. This choice changes nothing about what you receive, and you can reverse it at any time by emailing hello@beckysiame.com.
Safeguarding data
If a message indicates you or someone else may be at immediate risk, that message is retained in full in a separate safeguarding record, together with the risk assessment and the response sent. This is the only circumstance in which a complete message is retained, and it exists so that safety decisions can be reviewed. It is never used for research or commercially.
What is never collected
ante does not collect your contacts, location, photos, or any content from your device beyond the messages you send to the ante number.
Who processes the data, and where
Delivering ante involves the following processors: Meta Platforms (WhatsApp message transport), Anthropic (AI structural reading of messages), Google (cloud storage of records), and a private server hosted with DigitalOcean (workflow processing). Some of these providers store or process data outside New Zealand, including in the United States. Each operates under its own security and privacy commitments. None of them receives your name linked to your session records.
Under the Privacy Act 2020 we take reasonable steps to ensure information sent offshore is subject to comparable safeguards.
A note on words
While you are registered, your session records are pseudonymised, meaning they carry a code that only the researcher can connect to you, and only for running the study. Data described as de-identified or aggregated has had that connection removed or has been combined across many people so no individual can be picked out.
How long data is kept
- Session data: for the life of the research programme and up to seven years after the study concludes or its results are published, in line with research data availability requirements. After that it is deleted or fully anonymised into aggregate form.
- Safeguarding records: two years from the date of the record, then deleted.
- Identity data: for as long as you use ante. If you withdraw, your name and phone number are deleted within 30 days.
Safeguarding screening
ante screens every message for indications of immediate danger, using both a fixed word filter and AI assessment. If a risk is detected, the session stops and ante sends information about real help, including crisis and emergency contacts for your country. This screening is automated and is not a guarantee: ante may miss risk, and it may occasionally flag messages that were not risk. It does not notify emergency services, does not alert anyone in real time, and must never be relied on as a safety mechanism. If you are unsafe, contact emergency services directly.
Withdrawing, and your rights
You can stop at any time by texting DELETE to the ante number. Your consent is withdrawn immediately, no further data is collected from you, and your name and phone number are deleted within 30 days. Session records already held remain in the research dataset in coded form, because once your identity data is deleted they can no longer be traced to you; removing them individually would itself require keeping the link we are deleting.
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may ask what personal information we hold about you and ask for it to be corrected. Requests, and any privacy questions or complaints, go to hello@beckysiame.com. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
09
ante — The Research
ante is both a support tool and a research study. Every session contributes to a formal validation study of the IMIE framework: an investigation into how internal language, body sensation, and nervous system state relate to each other. The study is run by Becky Siame as the creator of the IMIE framework, with independent research advisors.
Because the research is what the tool is built on, participating in the study is part of using ante. The two cannot be separated. What that means in practice: the coded pattern from each of your sessions is part of the dataset. Your words are not. Your identity is not. Just the pattern.
Session data from all users supports the formal validation study. Any publication or presentation of results uses aggregated or de-identified data only. You will never be identified in any research output.
If you decide to stop using ante, your data will not be included in future research outputs. Patterns already folded into the anonymised aggregate dataset cannot be removed retroactively: once combined, they cannot be unpicked.
Nothing that could identify you will appear in any publication, presentation, or research output from this study.
10
ante — Subscription and Payment
ante begins with a trial period. Continued access may require a paid subscription, and current pricing is shown at beckysiame.com/ante before any payment is requested. Consumer guarantees under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 apply and nothing in these terms limits them.
11
Liability
The services on this site are for personal development and lived experience. Results are not guaranteed and will be different for everyone.
ante is provided as is. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and the service depends on third parties (WhatsApp, AI providers, hosting) we do not control. To the fullest extent the law allows, and except for the consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded, liability for any loss arising from use of ante is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing here limits rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
12
Your Consumer Rights
As a New Zealand consumer you have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Services must be delivered with reasonable care and skill and be fit for their purpose.
These terms do not override those rights. If something is not delivered as it should be, email hello@beckysiame.com and it will be addressed promptly and in good faith.
13
When These Terms Change
These terms will be updated as the work evolves. The current version will always be at beckysiame.com/terms. If a change meaningfully affects ante participants, you will be told before it takes effect and asked to accept the new version before continuing. The consent version you accepted is recorded against your registration. Continuing to use the site or ante after an update means you have accepted the new version.
14
Governing Law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law. The service is operated by Becky Siame, Nelson, New Zealand. Any dispute will be handled in the New Zealand courts.
